4th ISIJ-VDEh-Jernkontoret Joint Symposium for Iron and Steelmaking
This symposium is about process metallurgy and is a recurring and circulating collaboration between the industry organizations Jernkontoret, VDEh (in Germany), and ISIJ (in Japan). From April 13 to 15, 2026, ISIJ invites to a meeting in Sendai, Japan.

The ISIJ-VDEh-Jernkontoret Joint Symposium for Iron and Steelmaking is a recurring collaboration between the industry organizations Jernkontoret, VDEh (in Germany), and ISIJ (in Japan).
The symposium is aimed at individuals in the iron and steel industry, universities, and research institutes working in process metallurgy.
The industry organizations take turns hosting the symposium, and in 2026, it will be ISIJ's turn to host, from April 13-15, in Sendai, Japan.
Previously held symposia:
2013 - The first symposium was organized by ISIJ in Osaka, Japan.
2017 - The second symposium was held at Jernkontoret in Stockholm.
2023 - The third symposium was hosted by VDEh in Düsseldorf.
