A company wishing to market its product as environmentally friendly may faces a confusing range of choices of methods and initiatives. Sometimes they have to use different ones for different markets. This results in costs for companies and confusion for consumers.
The European Commission proposed the PEF and OEF methods as a common way of measuring environmental performance. The approach was tested 2013–2018 together with more than 280 volunteering companies and organisations. Based on the results of the pilot test, the European Commission is now exploring how to use the PEF and OEF methods in policies.
At this seminar, companies and authorities that use lifecycle-based tools for decision making and policy will share their expreriences. There will also be an opportunity to discuss a future framework for product policy that supports the transition to circular economy and how you can contribute to the development of it.
Presentations will be held in both English and Swedish.
The seminar is arranged by Jernkontoret, Confedaration of Swedish Enterprises and the Swedish EPA.
