From the season 2012/2013 Stålbucklan Cup becomes a national ice hockey tournament for district teams of girls.
Jernkontoret becomes titel sponsor for the new tournament.

About the Stålbucklan cup 2012
The Stålbucklan Cup is one of the biggest and the most important Swedish ice hockey cups for girls aged between 14 and 16 years.
About 300 girls in 14 teams participated in the seventh tournament of the steel industry’s annual ice hockey cup for girls. It took place in April, 20-22, 2012 at the Stora Mossen sports arena, Stockholm.
Team Uddeholm won the cup with a 4-0 victory in the final against Team Kuusakoski.
AIK took the bronze in the match for third place against Team Sandvik. The match ended 3-2.

AIK (Stockholm), Team Kuusakoski (Ångermanland), Team LKAB Luleå, Team Optocomp (Karlskrona), Team Outokumpu (Central Sweden), Team Ovako (Hällefors IK), Team Ruukki (Finland), Team Sandvik (Gästrikland/Dalarna), Team Sandvik Coromat (Uppland), Team Scana (Norway), Team SSAB Oxelösund (Södertälje SK, Sörmland), Team Triple Steelix (Björklöven, Umeå), Team Uddeholm (Ormsta/SDE, Stockholm) and Wildcats Steel Stars (Sundsvall/Umeå/Skellefteå).
The Cup was sponsored by the Swedish steel industry, with the aim of enhancing interest in engineering amongst girls, welcoming more girls to the steel companies as well as supporting ice hockey for girls - through arranging for teams from across Sweden to meet one another.
